"I received phone calls from Ahli officials expressing their interest, I shall meet with them in the upcoming period for negotiating a January move," Abdullah told FilGoal.com.
However, Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi remained coy over Abdullah's claims as he refused to concede that talks are on going.
"Abdullah is a fine player and he is welcomed back at any time, but I cannot confirm any negotiations with him," he said.
The pacey winger is set to leave Turkish side Konya this winter, but he is yet to decide on his next destination.
"I have an offer from Standard Liege, Zamalek are also interested, so I have some good options to choose from," he added.
"I will consider my options until January, but it is almost certain I am leaving Konya."
