Brazil held by Peru in Lima

Brazil were held to a 1-1 draw with Peru in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier game in Lima on Monday.

AC Milan ace Kaka put the visitors in front five minutes before the break, but Juan Manuel Vargas equalized in the 77th minute.

The score line means a second draw for the Selecao in three games, and they are now lying third with five points in the 10-team table of the CONMEBOL region.

Salas Back In Business

Marcelo Salas helped Chile grab a 2-2 draw at Uruguay, scoring for the first time in two years.

Luis Suarez gave Uruguay a 41st minute lead before Salas cancelled him out in the 58th minute.

The former Juventus star notched in his second of the game ten minutes later from the spot, but Sebastian Abreu leveled the scoring nine minutes from time.

Chile and Uruguay are level on four points from three games.
