Egypt target gold medal

Egypt will face Saudi Arabia in the Pan Arab Games finale on Sunday without Ibrahim Saied, Sayed Moawad, Wael Gomaa and Mohamed Barakat for different reasons.

Ankaragucu versatile defender Saied won't be available for the match after picking up a knee injury in training.

Ismaili left-back Moawad won't also feature after sustaining an injury in Egypt's goalless draw against Libya on Wednesday.

Mercurial midfielder Barakat won't make the squad due to suspension, leaving coach Hassan Shehata in a selection headache.

Gomaa has been given permission to skip the game in order to link up with Al-Siliya, whom he joined on loan from Egyptian champions Ahli.

Shehata is expected to name Mohsen Hendawi, Shadi Mohamed, Hani Saied and Osama Mohamed as Egypt's back four against Saudi Arabia.

Egypt share the tournament's summit with Libya on seven points.

However, a win for the Pharaohs over Saudi Arabia will probably give them the gold medal due to their superior goal difference over Libya, who face Sudan Olympic team.
