FIFA have unveiled the official poster of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, with the face of Cameroon star Samuel Eto'o placed over the map of Africa and heading a football.

The World's top event is set to be held on African soil for the first time ever, and FIFA boss Sepp Blatter believes that Eto'o could be the supreme representative of the Dark Continent.

"Portraying a country in the shape of a man heading a ball is a new idea with potent symbolism. It represents the African dream come true," Blatter was quoted by FIFA's official site.

"You will have no problem to recognize first of all that it's Africa and you have the face of one of the most popular and well-known faces of the continent," Blatter told reporters.

"He was not able to participate in the last World Cup but what is more important here is to give this continent a face, a human face in football."

The preliminary draw for the qualifying rounds of the 2010 World Cup, which is due to kickoff on June 11th, will be held on Sunday.
