Several Ahli players will be away on international duty with Egypt for the Ghana finals, due to start on January 20th.

"We are willing to promote a number of players from the youth academy in the upcoming period," Al-Badri told Ahli's official site.

"We are already monitoring some promising talents from the U-20 and U-18 teams, and they will have an opportunity in our Arab tour next January.

"It is important that the youth academy is working parallel to the first team, and we had a meeting with youth coaches to assure that."

Ahli have been frequently accused of letting go youth academy graduates for free, the latest of which was Zamalek new signing Sherif Ashraf.
