Brazilian full-back Fabio Da Silva has impressed Ahli officials during his current trial with the Egyptian champions.

Ahli marketing manager Adli Al-Qaeyi revealed that the Cairo club is willing to sign the 23-year-old free agent, but the number of foreign players will be an obstacle.

"Fabio's trial has been very successful, he played in a friendly with the youth team, and youth coach Fathi Mabrouk strongly recommended his signing," Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com.

"The only problem is that we already have three foreign players, and they are all important."

Al-Qaeyi hinted that Fabio could be loaned out until the end of the season if the Reds decided to sign him.

However, recent speculation suggested that Angolan striker Flavio Amado, who is pleading for a move to Europe, could be on his way out of the team.
