Champions Inter Milan beat Fiorentina 2-0 in Florence, on Sunday, to keep a three-point lead ahead of AS Roma who claimed a hard-fought victory over Udinese at Olimpico.

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic dropped his role as a marksman and went in assisting his teammates scoring goals.

He dished out a first assist to Chilean Luis Jimenez who broke the deadlock 10 minutes after the kick off.

And just before the break he sent Julio Cruz clear with another clear pass to secure the lead and made it hard to the hosts to comeback.

In the capital, AS Roma defeated nine-man Udinese.

Silveira Juan opened the scoring after 10 minutes but Luigi Fabio Quagliarella brought it level 2 minutes later.

Rodrigo Tarddei restored the hosts' lead three minutes before the hour mark to seal the full points of the game.

Udinese had to finish the game with only 9 men on the pitch as Giampiero Pinzi and Andrea Dossena were sent off in the 78th minute.

The Romans are second with 28 points three behind leaders Inter Milan.
