"I suffered a minor knock at the end of the Brugge game, but I preferred to continue," he told FilGoal.com.
"Medics say I need to rest for four days, but I am desperate to catch the Getafe game because it will be decisive."
The Purple and White need at least a point from the Getafe encounter if they can stand any chance of reaching the next round.
Whilst the team's performance in the league has been mediocre, Hassan hopes that success in the UEFA Cup could make up for their poor league form.
"We are currently focusing on the UEFA Cup, we hope to achieve something there because we have become way off the top in the league," conceded the Egypt skipper.
The Belgian champions have slipped to seventh place in the league standings, trailing leaders Brugge by 13 points.
