Fathi spent the last three months on loan at Kuwait's Kazma as he was ineligible to play for Ahli after joining from Championship side Sheffield United.
The Egypt international's spell in England was anything but successful though, after the Blades' demotion from the Premiership shortly after Fathi's arrival in January.
Moreover, the versatile midfielder could not find a regular place with the Championship side, but he is yet to give up on the Premiership.
"My dream to play in England is not over yet, I am willing to play again in the Premier League, and hopefully Ahli could be the passage," Fathi told Alam Al-Yawm Kuwaiti newspaper.
Fathi is set to return to the Egyptian champions by the end of December after an 'exciting' spell in Kuwait.
"I had an exciting experience with Kazma, I needed to get into competitive matches, and I think that the Kuwaiti league is one of the best in the Arab region," he said.
