Al-Gaish regained second spot in the Egyptian League after securing a 1-0 away victory over Aluminum on Wednesday.

Anwar Masood scored the winner in the 33rd minute as the military club claimed their first victory in three matches.

Al-Gaish are second with 30 points, six adrift of runaway leaders Ahli. Petrojet, who beat Zamalek 1-0, lie third on 29 points.

Elsewhere, Sayed Moawad's 80th-minute strike earned Ismaili a 1-0 home victory over Arab Contractors.

The Egypt defender collected Hosni Abd-Rabou's pass and burst into the area before firing a powerful shot into the far corner from a tight angle.

Contractors will be left ruing a missed penalty as Alaa Kamal's spot kick was blocked by Mohamed Sobhi 14 minutes after restart.
