Germany captain Michael Ballack backed Jens Lehmann as first-choice goalkeeper despite being limited to a substitute role with Arsenal.
"From my point of view, there's no question about Germany's keeper," the Chelsea midfielder told Bild.
"He is Germany's best at the moment even if he doesn't play regularly with Arsenal."
Germany manager Joachim Loew is worried of Lehmann's lack of action with the London side ahead of the EURO 2008.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger granted Manuel Almunia the starting place, limiting Lehmann to only one start since August.
Lehmann himself told Kicker magazine that he gets angry when he watches Almunia playing instead of him but Ballack isn't worried over playing time.
"Lehmann is 38 and he has played for enough time," he said.
