Adriano back to partying days

Sao Paulo's bosses defended their newly signed striker Adriano after been caught with a can of beer in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday night.

"We have a pact of confidence with Adriano. Twenty days of work are not going to be undone by two or three parties," Sao Paulo director Marco Aurelio Cunha told the press on Tuesday.

The 25-year old striker has been struggling over the past two seasons with alcohol problems after the death of his father.

He has been back to Brazil for rehabilitation and was loaned to Sao Paulo in order to regain fitness and shape.

Adriano, who was one of the most feared strikers in the Serie A, has announced that he wants to start a new chapter in his career and bounce back to his glory days would be with Inter Milan or Brazil.
