Tottenham Hotspur ace Dimitar Berbatov is eager to move to a bigger club in order to win trophies, according to his agent Emil Dantchev.

Berbatov scored six goals in his last four Premiership games, including four against Reading last weekend, but agent Dantchev believes that the Bulgarian is looking for a higher challenge.

"His performances for the club are a testament to his commitment to the fans and his team-mates," Dantchev told The Sun.

"Fans must understand Dimitar is 27 next month and time is running out for him to play for a club that can match his ambition.

"I would like to stress this is not about money. This is about sporting ambition.

"But after Tottenham's bad start to the season, it is unlikely they will have the chance to do something big this season."

The 26-year-old hitman has been linked with Manchester United since last season, and his agent insists that his ambitions are far beyond mid-table battlers Spurs.

"Dimitar wants to fulfill his potential and win trophies now," he was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

Spurs manager Juande Ramos has reportedly asked chairman Daniel Levy to do his best to convince Berbatov to stay at White Hart Lane.
