Former Ahli playmaker Amr Fathi 'Samaka' has welcomed the interest shown by Zamalek to sign him, according to the player's agent.

Zamalek have been reportedly contemplating a move for the Kazma midfielder in recent days, and agent Tamer Al-Nahhas ensured that the 24-year-old is ready to join the Whites.

"Amr has basically welcomed the Zamalek option when he was approached by a club official," former Ahli striker Al-Nahhas told FilGoal.com.

However, Al-Nahhas conceded that despite Zamalek's interest, negotiations are yet to be official with the Kuwaiti side.

Samaka has been transfer listed by Ahli in 2006 when he tested positive for a prohibited substance during a Champions League tie, after he which he was banned for six months by CAF.

The talented playmaker was then lured by Kazma, where he spent the last couple of seasons.
