Ahli youngster Omar Rabie said on Thursday that he joined Belgian second division side Lierse on a five-year deal, to link up with compatriot Ahmed Samir.

Rabie, son of former Ahli great and current Egypt youth team coach Yassin, joined Tersana on loan in the summer transfer window.

He terminated his contract with the Hammers by mutual consent after failing to make a single appearance.

"I opted to cancel my agreement with Tersana to join Lierse," Rabie told FilGoal.com.

Ahli will likely demand to receive a compensation for the departure of Rabie, who didn’t sign a professional contract with the Cairo giants.

Lierse, who lie 16th in the Belgian second division table, have recently signed Harras Al-Hodoud right-back Samir.
