Egypt clinched the African Handball Nations Championship after beating Tunisia 27-25 on Thursday to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Egypt clinched the African Handball Nations Championship after beating Tunisia 27-25 on Thursday to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

The Pharaohs won the championship for the fifth time in history to become within two titles of equaling Tunisia's record.

Egypt secured passage to the Olympics while runners-up Tunisia and third-placed Algeria will enter a play-off.

Tunisia had the upper hand early in the game and finished the first-half with a 16-12 lead.

Egypt rallied in the second period and managed to overturn the result, thanks to heroic displays from keeper Hamada Al-Naquib, Ahmed Al-Ahmar and Hassan Yousri
