Raul’s hat-trick not enough
Real Madrid skipper Raul Gonzalez is happy with the team's contribution to snap-up a deserved 2-0 victory over city rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

The Spanish champions were helped by a crucial opener from Raul, who paid tribute for Robinho on the assist.

"The team has proven its worth in an important day and won, we were just victors," Raul told the club's official website after the game.

"Half of my goal was Robinho's because he fought for the ball and gave me the assist. That strike allowed us to be calmer."

The Spain icon also credited goalkeeper Iker Casillas for keeping a sixth straight clean sheet with the Madridistas.

"We are happy with Iker because he hasn't conceded a goal in six matches," he said.

"Tonight's victory is important for the entire team. It makes us confident. We want to continue being strong at home, especially against strong rivals."
