Unfortunate Alloudi is out injured

Morocco suffered a major blow by the news that on-fire striker Soufiane Alloudi will be ruled out of the team's next two games against Guinea and Ghana.

The 24-year-old scored a first-half hat-trick to demolish Namibia in the 5-1 win on Monday, but he was taken off injured in the second half, following an ill-fated challenge from Richard Gariseb.

Alloudi confirmed his absence from the Atlas Lions' next two games, but fortunately for Morocco, his injury is not serious.

"I will miss the two forthcoming games against Guinea and Ghana because of injury, but I could be back with my teammates in the second round," Al-Ain striker told the press on Tuesday.

Morocco squad doctor Boujemaa Zahi also indicated that Alloudi's injury is 'not serious and raises no concern'.

Morocco coach Henri Michel might look onto the possibility of replacing Alloudi by either Youssef Mokhtari or Moncef Zerka against Guinea on Thursday.
