Man of the day: Francileudo Dos Santos made history when he became Tunisia's all-time top goal scorer with a superb brace against South Africa.

Dos Santos broke Adel Sellimi's 20-goal record as he notched his 10th goal in three Nations Cup competitions.

The Brazilian-born striker acquired Tunisian citizenship late in 2003 after his hopes of representing the Selecao faded.

He was instrumental in the Carthage Eagles' 2004 CAN triumph, finishing joint top scorer with four goals.

Goal of the day: Dos Santos' header against Bafana Bafana was a special opener, the diminutive forward fired in Shawky Ben Saada's perfect cross with the back of his head.

Moment of the day: Angola midfielder Maurito produced an extraordinary piece of skill to dribble past Diomansy Kamara, before unleashing a 35-yard rocket that was saved brilliantly by Tony Sylva.

Disappointment of the day: South Africa's Nasief Morris made a dismal back bass which cost his team a decisive third goal from Tunisia, another poor piece of defending following the Zambia defense show against Cameroon on Saturday.

What the Papers Said

"Angola prove a point" stated 'Jornal de Angola', which celebrated the victory over Senegal by saying that the ''Palancas Negras raised the self-esteem of millions of Angolans with a victory over the formidable Senegal''.

On the other hand, Senegal's 'Sud Quotidien' posted: ''Palancas Negras tame Lions'', describing the defeat as a ''wreck or a veritable Tsunami that hit on the heads of the Lions.''

'Walf Fadjri' stated: "Lions humiliated by Antelopes."

In Tunisia, 'Assabah' newspaper said that the national team 'regained pride and wiped out fear' with the victory over South Africa.

The paper also hoped that 'there is more to come' from goal hero Dos Santos after he became Tunisia's all-time top scorer with 21.

South Africa's 'Daily News' said: ''Major headache for Bafana'', describing the team's finishing as 'pathetic'.

'The Star' posted a more slamming headline saying: ''Shame on you South Africa defenders,'' while 'Independent Online' stated that the ''Bafana are hovering on the brink of an early exit."
