A second-half goal from Souleymane Youla was canceled out by Brian Brendell eleven minutes from the final whistle.
Guinea, who were the surprise package at the 2006 edition in Egypt, advanced to the quarter-finals as runners up from Group A with 4 points, five adrift of hosts Ghana who beat Morocco 2-0.
Youla had a chance to open the score before the break when he received the ball at the edge of the Namibian area but curled the ball astonishingly wide.
The Lille striker made up for his first half blunder when he received a silky pass from Ismail Bangoura and fired a low drive past Namibia keeper Athiel Mbaha in the 62nd minute.
Brendell leveled for the underdogs with a solo effort that saw him charge towards the goal and unleash a shot that evaded keeper Kemoko Camara.
Guinea will now face the winner from Group B, which is expected to be either Ivory Coast or Mali, in the quarter-finals on February 3rd.
