Roma scored a goal in each half to beat Serie A strugglers Reggina 2-0 in the 22nd matchday of the Italian competition on Saturday.

Goals from veteran defender Christian Panucci and Brazilian winger Amantino Mancini saw the Giallorossi making up for their shocking defeat to Siena last week.

Roma remain second with 48 points, trailing leaders Inter Milan, who will face Catania on Sunday, by five. Reggina are third from bottom with 18 points.

Elsewhere, Atalanta needed a 90th minute equalizer from Zlatan Muslimovic to salvage a 2-2 draw with Fiorentina.

The Bosnian striker scored the first goal as well, while Gianpaolo Pazzini and Franco Semioli were on target for the Viola.
