Five Egyptians included in Africa's XI

Five members of the Egyptian national team have been included in Africa's XI for the 2008 Nations Cup, Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced.

Five members of the Egyptian national team have been included in Africa's XI for the 2008 Nations Cup, Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced.

Essam Al-Hadari, Wael Gomaa, Hosni Abd-Rabou, Mohamed Abou-Treika and Amr Zaki have made the squad after putting in an impressive display in Africa's showpiece.

Two more Egyptians were named on the substitutes' bench. In-form right back Ahmed Fathi and sweeper Hani Saied have been included as back-ups.

The starting line-up:

Essam Al-Hadari, Wael Gomaa, Geremi Njitap, Hosni Abd-Rabou, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Alexandre Song, Yaya Toure, Mohamed Abou-Treika, Amr Zaki, Manucho.

The substitutes:

Richard Kingson, Hani Saied, Ahmed Fathi, Saber ben Frej, Didier Drogba, Abdelkader Keita.
