Otto Pfister will carry on his role as Cameroon coach after the Indomitable Lions lost 1-0 to Egypt in the final of the 2008 African Cup of Nations.

The experienced German confirmed that he will resume work with the team after he returns from his vacation.

"I am going on holiday for three weeks and then we go on. We have friendly matches in the next month and then the World Cup qualifiers begin at the end of May," Pfister told Kicker magazine.

The Lions were beaten by six-time champions Egypt for the second time in the Ghana finals, following a 4-2 group stage win.

"I have to accept it, I cannot change it. Life goes on, the whole team was really down after the loss but after two, three hours everyone was laughing again."

Pfister was denied for the second time in his career, following his CAN 1992 final defeat with Ghana against Ivory Coast.

The former Zamalek manager's next competitive game will be against Cape Verde in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers in May.
