Zamalek's ill-fated player Hassan Yousri suffered a sprained ankle in his side's game against Ahli while no ambulance was available to come to his aid at Cairo Stadium.
Yousri fell awkwardly just before halftime in severe pain, prompting his teammates to rush to his help.
Ahmed Ramadan helped transporting Yousri to hospital due to the obvious carelessness from the stadium's authorities.
"The initial diagnosis indicates that Yousri sprained his ankle," Zamalek doctor Hamada Abdul-Bari said.
Yousri has recently suffered a dangerous head injury during Egypt's Nations Cup triumphant campaign.
