Abdul-Monsef: No fine

Zamalek assistant manager Ayman Mansour said that Mohamed Abdul-Monsef's problem with the technical staff was resolved, following the Egypt goalkeeper's recent outburst.

Abdul-Monsef, who was part of Egypt's CAN 2008 winning squad, hit out at coach Ruud Krol after starting Saturday's CAF Champions League opener against Rwanda's APR on the bench.

However, Mansour insists that the case is closed after he met with the 30-year-old guardian.

"I have spoken to Monsef, and I understand that he did that because he always wants to serve the club," the Zamalek second man told FilGoal.com on Sunday.

Abdul-Monsef had to replace Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed, who has been hit by a series of injuries throughout the past couple of seasons, after the latter suffered a groin injury early during the 2-1 win.

Morale Boosting

Mansour believes that the away victory could improve the morale of the Whites ahead of Wednesday's crunch league clash at Ismaili.

"It was important to win at Rwanda, because we need to regain our winning spirit," he added.

Zamalek are significantly underachieving during the past three seasons, as the Egyptian giants are currently fourth in the league, 12 points adrift of leaders Ahli.
