A late goal from Ghanaian striker Ernest Papa Arko dumped Syrian side Al-Taleaah out of the Arab Champions League and gave Gaish a place in the semi-finals.

The striker netted the winner with a powerful strike from out of the box to earn his side the full points of the game and put them in the second place of the group with 8 points.

The Egyptian representative reach the semis, for the first time of their history, just behind group leaders Wydad from Morocco.

Gaish made a miraculous comeback to snatch their ticket for the next stage as they were at the basement after three games with only one point but they managed to fight back and win two away games before being held at home by the Moroccans.

The Egyptians will face the group B winner and it would be either Jordan giants Faisali or Algerian holders ES Setif.
