The energetic midfielder missed Zamalek's 2-0 defeat to Ahli on Friday as well as the 2-1 Egyptian Cup triumph over Harras Al-Hodoud four days later.
Abdul-Ghani is set to miss a handful of games, including both legs of Zamalek's clash against Ivorian side Africa Sports in the CAF Champions League round of 32.
His absence will give a chance to Mohamed Ibrahim to establish himself as a regular starter.
The 22-year-old, who was on the verge of leaving Zamalek, revived his career after being given the chance to shine.
Ibrahim scored two goals in four matches and heavily contributed to Zamalek's progress to the Egyptian Cup final at the expense of Harras Al-Hodoud.
El-Abdi Injury
Defender Wissem El-Abdi will miss the first-leg of the Africa Sports game at home on Sunday due to injury.
According to Zamalek doctor Abdullah George, the Tunisian defender will return to action next week.
Forward Gamal Hamza picked up a minor knock in training, but will be available for the African encounter.
