Sayed Moawad and Ayman Abdul-Aziz

The Egyptians playing in the Turkish Super Lig had contrasting feelings after Sunday's league games in matchday 27.

Ayman Abdul-Aziz and Sayed Moawad helped Trabzonspor beat Kayserispor 2-1. Umut Bulut hit a double, 6 and 88, while Leonardo Iglesias scored the visitors' consolation goal, 61.

The Egyptian duo were among the starting lineup but Moawad was substituted in the 62nd minute as coach Ersun Yanal wanted to bring in more attacking options.

Trabzon are now sixth of the table with 38 points 10 behind fifth-placed Kayserispor.

Ankaragucu, where Ibrahim Saied plays, were held to a goalless draw by Rizespor.

Saied came off the bench in the 50th minute and went close to scoring but keeper David Gonzalez made a magnificent save to deny his effort.

The result leaves Ankaragucu in the seventh place with 33 points while Rizespor are 16th with 25.

Captain Abul-Zaher El Saqqa had a big disappointment as Genclerbirligii conceded a shock home defeat from Ankaraspor 1-0.

Genclerbirligii dropped to the 13th place with 28 points while this vital win pulled out Ankaraspor from the danger area as they climbed to the 15th spot with 27 points.
