Bayern Munich have insisted on Friday that the team’s training sessions will remain open to public despite reports suggesting otherwise.

"Close relations with our fans, and having the fans close to FC Bayern, is a guiding principle at our club," Bayern said in a statement on their website.

"We do not wish this to change, and it will not change: from 2008-9 and beyond, the senior squad will continue to train in public at the Säbener Strasse."

Former Germany great Jurgen Klinsmann, who will replace Ottmar Hitzfeld as Bayern boss in the summer, will reportedly implement strict training procedures.

Fans were angry after learning that Bayern board might prohibit them from attending the team’s training sessions, but the Bavarian giants swiftly denied all rumors.
