The Serie A game between Juventus and Parma was called off after a Parma fan was accidentally killed by a bus at a service station.

Both teams agreed to postpone the game as a sign of respect for the victim, which is reportedly believed to be a female.

"Juventus and Parma, with the approval of the relevant authorities, have jointly decided to postpone the match as a mark of respect for the accident involving the Parma fan who was traveling to the stadium in Turin," a joint statement said.

"Given the tragic fatality, the two clubs have decided that it would not be right to send the teams on the field."

The corresponding set of fixtures this season witnessed the death of Lazio fan Gabriele Sandri, an incident which triggered violence all over Italy at the time.
