Ismaili failed to go second in the Premier League after being held to a goalless draw at home by Baladeya on Sunday.

The draw keeps them fourth with 36 points, just one behind second-placed Zamalek who beat Gaish 2-1 on Saturday.

Ismaili's Mostafa Karim was clear on goal in the 18th minute but he missed the target.

Cameroonian striker Ahmed Kolo was one-on-one with keeper Mohamed Sobhi in the injury time but the strike was easy to save for the international goalie.

Elsewhere, Wael Al-Qabani struck a late equalizer to secure a precious 1-1 draw for Telecom Egypt with ENPPI.

Ivorian striker Vincent Di Foneye put ENPPI ahead just before the break but Al-Qabani hit a well-placed free kick in the 86th minute to level the score line.

The result left Telecom Egypt in the danger zone with 19 points while ENPPI remain eighth with 26 points.
