AC Milan injured striker Ronaldo vows to recover from his serious injury on time in order to get back to his normal life.

The 31-year-old forward ruptured knee ligaments two months ago, and the likelihood of his return has been doubted by many.

However, the Brazilian icon seems to be satisfied with his progress so far as he eyes a Rossoneri return via native side Flamengo.

"I am working four or five hours per day in the hope of recovery," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I want to be able to play football on the beach with my friends and to have a normal life.

"During my last tests in Paris, the doctors gave me the hope and the guarantees that I needed.

"It’s nearly two months since the operation and the knee is already feeling much better.

"I would like to try and play for Flamengo for a few months and then hopefully try and return to Milan."

Despite his ambitions, Ronaldo's contract at Milan runs out next summer and the European champions are yet to decide on his future.
