Zamalek are unlikely to suspend Amr Zaki for skipping the team's trip to Africa Sports, following an investigation on Saturday.

The Egypt international striker claimed that he wasn’t able to travel to Abidjan due to injury, but Zamalek doctor Abdullah George disagreed.

Subsequently, Zaki went under investigation for his act, and a fine seems to be the utmost verdict.

"Amr said he was absent for personal reasons, he apologized and vowed not to repeat the incident," Zamalek board member Mohamed Sabri told FilGoal.com.

Zamalek assistant coach Mohamed Helmi recently said that he is willing to help the 25-year-old, as he suggested that a fine would be enough.

Zaki is now ready to return to action for Monday's Egyptian League game against Suez Cement.
