Yasser Al-Qahtani scored the only goal to hand Hilal a 1-0 victory over holders Ittihad Jeddah, which meant that the Blues are crowned Saudi League champions.

The Saudi Arabia captain fired home four minutes after the break to snatch a priceless win for Hilal in Jeddah.

Veteran goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Daeyea was arguably man of the match as he produced a string of fine saves to deny Ittihad and ensure his team's victory.

Hilal leveled on 48 points with Ittihad, but the Riyadh-based side took advantage thanks to their better head-to-head superiority.

Elsewhere, Nasser Al-Shamrani scored five times as Al-Shabab hammered Al-Watani 6-0 in Riyadh.

The Saudi international striker took his tally to 18 league goals, to finish top scorer, two goals ahead of Al-Hassan Al-Yami of Najran.

Al-Taei and Al-Qadsia were already relegated before the final round of the competition.
