Luis Figo

Inter Milan winger Luis Figo has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a leg injury on Wednesday night.

The 35-year old Portuguese midfielder will be out of contract next June and confirmed that he will hang up his boots or move to the United States.

A statement on the club’s website said: "Luis Figo, who came off injured in the first half of Wednesday evening’s Cup match against Lazio, underwent medical tests early Thursday afternoon. The Portuguese midfielder has sprained the medial calf muscle of his right leg."

Figo played his last game for the Nerazzuri who do not intend to renew his contract because of his tense relationship with coach Roberto Mancini.

The Former World Player of the Year won two Scudetto titles since coming to Inter Milan in 2005.
