Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard has admitted that his team was lucky not to concede Manchester United’s early penalty that could have twisted the game.
"Them missing that penalty was a key moment and it was fortunate that they did not," the Dutchman told Marca.
The Blaugrana were held to a goalless draw and Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game.
“We have played well and have done everything we could and it was clear that we wanted to win, but the tie is still open. They also know that if we score at their place then it will make things complicated."
"This may not be the best result, but on the other hand we have to go and score a goal. We will wait and see how they play and I think that they will open up a little more,” concluded Rijkaard.
The Spanish giants will play against Manchester United next Tuesday at Old Trafford.
