Egyptian defender Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa has admitted that his side needs to beat Istanbul on Saturday to have any hope of staying in the Turkish top flight.

“It’s a vital game. We must stay focused and deploy a great effort to win the game,” Al-Saqqa told FilGoal.com.

“We are in a must-win situation or we will be exposed to a very high risk. We will be playing at home against a mid-table side.”

With three matches left to play, Genclerbirligi are fifteenth of the 20-team table with 32 points, just three above the danger zone.

This is while Istanbul are tenth with 38 points.

“We have two difficult games against Fenerbahce and Sivasspor who are battling for the title.

“It will be very difficult to get any points from these games and so we must grab all the points against Istanbul,” concluded Genclerbirligi Captain.
