Levante players have called off their strike after reaching a deal with the club's board over their unpaid bonuses and wages.

"Levante have reached an agreement with the players’ representatives to call off the strike action planned for April 26-27," Levante said in a statement on their website.

"They have accepted the guarantees necessary to back the deal," The Spanish side said.

Levante players have recently said they won't play against Recreativo Huelva on Sunday in protest over the club's failure to pay them their dues.

The club are likely to be relegated to the second division as they lie at the bottom of the Primera Liga table with 25 points, 12 adrift of the safety zone with five matches to go.
