"My agent brought me an offer from Chernomorets. I flew to Bulgaria and spent there five days during which I passed technical and medical examinations," he told FilGoal.com.
"I finalized the move to Chernomorets after terminating my contract with (Egyptian second division side) Olympic in January by mutual consent."
Chernomorets lie sixth in the Bulgarian League table on 41 points with four matches to go.
Shokri's Career
Shokri started his career with Arab Contractors. He won with them the Egyptian Cup title in June 2004 and contributed to their local Super Cup triumph few months later.
The 24-year-old joined Ismaili in 2005 but his stint with the Dervishes was not successful. He departed after just one season to move to Olympic.
Shokri was part of Egypt's U-20 team squad which won the 2003 African Youth Championship in Burkina Faso.
He also took part in the U-20 World Cup in UAE in the same year. Shokri was Hassan Shehata's third-choice striker during the tournament.
Shehata, current Egypt first team manager, preferred to field Emad Meteb and Reda Metwalli upfront.
