Juventus Captain Alessandro Del Piero and Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano have been included by coach Roberto Donadoni in Italy's provisional squad for the Euro 2008.

Del Piero hasn't played for the Azzurri since last September scoreless draw against France but it seems that his 21 Serie A goals convinced Don to pick him again for the European challenge.

Cassano got a surprise call as he has been widely expected to miss out following his lengthy suspension back in March for his furious reaction to being sent off against Torino.

The 25-year old talented forward has put on some impressive displays but there have been always concerns over his indiscipline.

Meanwhile AC Milan veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi has been left-out all along with Lazio’s Tommaso Rocchi, injured Vincenzo Iaquinta and Massimo Oddo who has fitness troubles.
