Egyptian champions Ahli begin title defense against Olympic
Five youngsters have been included in Ahli's 18-man squad for their last Egyptian League game against Suez Cement on Thursday.

Mostafa Talaat, Abdullah Farouk, Ahmed Mamdouh, Mohamed Abdul-Maguid and Khalil Fathi are in line to make their first-team debut with Ahli.

Ahli's Portuguese coach Manuel Jose, who is currently spending his yearly vacation in his homeland, decided to rely on youngsters since the Red Devils wrapped up the league title.

Several key players, including Mohamed Abou-Treika, Mohamed Barakat, Emad Meteb and Flavio Amado have been rested after an exhausting campaign.

Right-back Islam Al-Shater, who was deployed as a sweeper in Ahli's goalless draw with Al-Gaish, was omitted for unknown reasons. So was out-of-favor striker Reda Al-Weeshi.

Ahli, who were defeated just twice this term, won the Egyptian League title for the fourth consecutive season.
