Mohamed Abdul-Monsef indicated that Zamalek must secure the Egyptian Cup when they face ENPPI on Sunday, in order to get back to winning ways.

Abdul-Monsef is all the more likely to be given the nod ahead of Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed, who competed with his teammate for a first-team place in recent league games.

"We are at crossroads, I think we've got no option but to win the cup for our fans, who have been suffering with us recently," he told FilGoal.com.

"I am dreaming about lifting the trophy on Sunday, we are all determined to win the game, it will be a turning point for us. We want to see our fans happy again."

Zamalek, who suffered a record nine defeats in the league this season, are without any piece of silverware since their Egyptian League title in 2004.

Not Important

Meanwhile, Abdul-Wahed insisted that it is not important who will be standing between the sticks at Cairo Stadium.

"I am not concerned whether it will be me or Monsef in goal, the most important thing is the team winning, because this game is really crucial for us," said the Egypt international.

"I believe that Monsef thinks like that, so does every member of the team."

Most Difficult

In the same context, Mohamed Abdullah revealed how important the ENPPI match is for him.

"This is the most difficult game of my career," said the former Konyaspor man.

"I played in many finals before, but this one is different because of the tough circumstances surrounding the team.

"Everyone is urging us to win the trophy, there is enormous pressure on the players, especially with our recent form."

Zamalek lost feebly to Telecom Egypt and Petrojet in their last two league games, conceding six goals in the process.

Whereas ENPPI are unbeaten in their last seven games, which included an impressive 3-0 over champions Ahli.
