Uncapped Farag to start against DR Congo

Ahmed Samir Farag is set to play his first game for Egypt as manager Hassan Shehata lined him up for Sunday’s clash against DR Congo in the World Cup 2010 qualifiers.

Ahmed Samir Farag is set to play his first game for Egypt as manager Hassan Shehata lined him up for Sunday’s clash against DR Congo in the World Cup 2010 qualifiers.

The 18-man squad includes another uncapped player as ENPPI’s Abdul-Aziz Tawfik will start on the bench.

Shikabala is set to play his first game for the Pharaohs since June 12, 2007.

Egypt’s lineup:

Essam Al-Hadari – Mahmoud Fathallah, Wael Gomaa, Hani Saied, Ahmed Al-Saied, Ahmed Samir Farag – Ahmed Hassan, Hosni Abd-Rabou, Hossam Ghaly – Amr Zaki, Emad Meteb.

Substitutes: Mohamed Abdul-Monsef, Amir Azmi Megahed, Mohamed Fadl, Ahmed Eid Abdul-Malek, Shikabala, Abdul-Aziz Tawfik.
