Saudi Arabia came back from a goal down to brush aside Lebanon 4-1 in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers for the Asian zone.

Mahmoud Al-Ali stunned King Fahad Stadium's supporters with a 43rd minute strike, but the Lebanese celebrations lasted for just two minutes as Yasser Al-Qahtani equalized.

Osama Hawsawi put the home side in front in the 62nd minute, before another defender Reda Tukar added a third six minutes from time.

Hilal goal machine Al-Qahtani scored his second of the game in injury time to conclude the win.

The Saudis lie second in Group 4 with six points, three adrift of leaders Uzbekistan, who recorded a remarkable 7-3 victory over Singapore earlier on Monday.

Elsewhere, Japan thrashed Oman 3-0 in Group2, while Bahrain registered a thrilling 3-2 win at Thailand.

In Group 5, Iran were held to a goalless draw by UAE in Tehran, as Syria beat Kuwait 1-0.
