Poland goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak will not take part in this summer's EURO 2008 due to a back injury.

"After a spine scan in hospital in Graz and after consultations with a UEFA doctor it has been assessed that Kuszczak will be out for three weeks,” said Poland team spokeswoman Marta Alf.

The 26-year-old, who injured himself in training, is set to be replaced by Korona Kielce keeper Wojciech Kowalewski.

Kuszczak is the second player to pull out of the Polish squad in the space of two days, after Jakub Blaszczykowski was replaced by Lukasz Piszczek.

However, the Manchester United guardian was unlikely to start anyways, as Celtic's Artur Boruc is Leo Beenhakker's number one.
