The 27-year-old striker was suspended during the first two games for Russia but a superb performance against Sweden was enough for him to be noticed.
"The only player unexpected to hit these heights was the Russian, Arshavin," Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Calcio Italia reported that Ancelotti's comment reflects interest from Milan, who are trying to rebuild there team after missing out on the UEFA Champions League.
The magazine said that Ancelotti observed Arshavin from the stands during Sweden's game.
Arshavin was the star of Zenith's campaign towards winning the UEFA Cup last season and Dick Advocaat, his coach at the Russian side, admitted that he might lose his influential midfielder this summer.
"I hope he stays, but in all honesty I get the feeling if he has the right opportunity then he'll leave us very soon," Advocaat said.
