Gomaa vs. Spain
Wael Gomaa admitted that Ahli are not willing to sell him, amid speculation linking him with Bristol City.

City, who already offered ₤1.5M for the services of Emad Meteb, were believed to be interested in Gomaa as a deal worth ₤150,000 was mentioned.

However, the Egypt defender is unlikely to leave the Reds even before an official bid was received from City.

"My agent informed me that Bristol are interested, but when I talked with Ahli officials the response was negative," Gomaa told FilGoal.com.

"The club needs me here and to be honest, the transfer fee from the English club is lower than expected,"

Gomaa spent the second half of last season on loan at Al-Siliya of Qatar after he lost his place in Manuel Jose's starting eleven.

Meteb Ultimatum

In the same context, Meteb's prospected move to the Robins is under threat as the Championship side's manager seems to be losing his patience with Ahli.

Bristol-based Evening Post reported that 'Gary Johnson will pull the plug if the player is not in Bristol for talks by the end of this week'.

A deal between both clubs was almost done last week, but Ahli's stalling over payment of the fee is not helping.

Coach Johnson watched Meteb impressing in Egypt's recent 2-0 win over Malawi, when the 25-year-old netted both goals at Cairo Stadium.
