Ibrahim Saied's prospected move from Ankaragucu to Ismaili is in progress as the Egypt defender claims that the Dervishes have completed part of the deal.

Ankaragucu are believed to have agreed upon a $150,000 selling price for Saied, who decided to end his European adventure.

"The deal is almost done, Ismaili sent $50,000 to Ankaragucu and the rest should follow soon," Saied told FilGoal.com.

Saied, who had a brief spell with Everton in 2003, failed to impress at Ankaragucu after joining from Rizespor last year.

Useful

Meanwhile, Ismaili trainer Khaled Al-Kammash indicated that the 29-year-old will be a useful addition to the squad next season.

It was suggested that Saied will be facing a tough battle to compete with Egypt's first-choice sweeper Hani Saied.

However, Al-Kammash stressed that the former Ahli man will be in important first team player.

"Saied is useful to any team, he is an experienced player and I think that his place in the team is reserved," he said.

Ismaili, who will compete in the CAF Champions League next season, are set to start their pre-season camp on July 5th in Alexandria.
