Hassan, who spent the last two seasons playing for Anderlecht, has been invited to participate in the kick-off of the match between Anderlecht and AC Milan.
"Anderlecht's officials called me up to invite me to participate in the match against AC Milan in mid August," Hassan told FilGoal.com.
"They have asked me to kick-off the game, as a thank you for my efforts with the club over the past two seasons," he added.
The 33-year-old midfielder has joined Egyptian champions Ahli this summer on a free transfer for three years.
He said his presence in Brussels will depend on Ahli's technical staff giving him the permission to attend Anderlecht's big event.
Hassan was nostalgic when he tried to explain why he is looking forward to participating in the event.
"It's truly an honor for me to participate in that game especially that Anderlecht is a prolific club and some of the best players in the world played there over the past 100 years."
