The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced that Raymond Domenech's job is safe and that he will be in charge of 'Les Bleus' until after the World Cup 2010.

"The Executive committee has maintained the manager in his post to prepare for the World Cup 2010 and redefine the terms of his mission and the conditions of management of the National team," said Jean-Pierre Escalettes.

France produced a poor performance in the EURO 2008 and were eliminated from the first round.

Domenech has been under fire and seemed ready to step down.

But now the FFF backed him and he will start the World Cup qualifier campaign against Austria on September 6.
